Poetry from a Mistimed Youth

100 protest poems originally written in 1982 to 1985 and edited for their initial publication in 2015. The poems are mostly about Mercia McMahon's native Northern Ireland, pacifism, nuclear warfare, and other aspects of the absurd. Appendices explain this poetic hiatus in her 37 year quest to become a novelist and the possibilities of some 21st century verse in years to come.
